We’d love to hear your feedback!

UPCOMING SEO TRENDS IN 2015

by adminon 27 April 2015in Code707

Here are the latest trends to look out for when conducting your future SEO plan:

1)      Inbound Links Vs. Brand Mentions:

Inbound links used to be highly important, they are also called ‘backlinks’ and they are incoming links to a website or webpage, it’s important because it tells you who’s coming to your website and where they’re coming from and they are a major factor in SEO and having one in a high ranked and trusted webpage tells the search engine that someone trusted has faith in you.

However, these days brand mentions are also taken into account; brand mentions are when another webpage mentions your company without the use of hyperlinks.

2)      Content, Content and More Content:

With technology advancing and smarter algorithms are being developed  and updated constantly, content will always be king; if you really want to survive and rank for relevant search terms  you must provide the most relevant content to the searcher.

3)      Conversational Keyword Phrases:

In 2013, Google introduced the Hummingbird Update which is Google’s new search algorithm, effective since 2013.

This update made the search algorithm understand more conversational  phrases rather than just individual words.

4)      Mobile Optimization and User Behavior:

Everything must be optimized for the mobile, it’s not even an option now; with more people going mobile, this is a surefire way to success and why is that?

Because this goes beyond just having a responsive website alone, your website should be able to be accessible and readable on a mobile and tablet device , it should also be optimized accordingly for each.

To access a website on your mobile device you used to have to zoom in and out, scroll up, down, left and right, honestly it was such a hassle , but now this is something that is 100% necessary; content and images should be lighter  instead readjusting to the browser.

5)      Social Media Interaction:

Finally, social media integration; Google search algorithms have become so intelligent that us mere humans need to keep up with its intelligence.

If you want to succeed you need to have a strong presence and strategy that allows for people to find and share your content.

It’s extremely important also to know your target audience and customize the content according to them.

There was a theory that SEO might be over by next year, but it’s not a question of it being dead as much as algorithms are growing smarter at a much faster rate than we are so.

Search Engine Marketing may just be another branch of Marketing we need to watch for.

SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS IN 2015

by adminon 27 April 2015in Social Media

It’s been a while since we shared a new blog post; we thought it would be helpful to provide you with some helpful social media tips to get you through 2015.

1.     Use Social Media Management platforms.

If you have a business with several social media platform or are handling a lot of social media accounts at once, it really comes in handy to use a scheduling; these services include Hootsuite, Buffer & Sprout.

In addition to posting on several social media platforms, it also allows you to schedule your posts weekly or monthly and not making you constantly worried about what you should post as well as schedule them in ideal times based on where your audience lives.

Tip: Use Tweetdeck to manage your tweets separately as sometimes Facebook posts tend to be longer than what Twitter allows.

2.     Post content and information that actually interest people.

People are constantly bombarded with posts on social media, like videos, news, photos, offers, etc. So please, for the love of God, please AVOID posts that push people to buy a product or install an app, posts that push people to enter promotions, and posts that reuse some content from other ads.

The competition is fierce  and people are less patient and their attention span is almost nonexistent, so just make sure that you post things that people are actually interested in and relevant to your company as well.

Tip: Facebook has created the “Create Call-to-action” button, a button to get people to take an action from your page, such as shop or sign up.

3.     Don’t try too hard, keep it simple & light.

You know you see these people that try way too hard, whether they’re your friends, the pages you follow or companies? You just find yourself cringing at their failed attempts at being different and overly clever.

Yeah, don’t be that type and keep your language fun, simple and light.

Tip: the most successful posts are those that people can understand, relate to and fund humor in and that’s how slowly but surely, you get more engagement on your page.

4.     Share at least one post a day.

It’s important to stay consistent with your social media sharing, don’t overdo it, but don’t disappear either. Be there but don’t force yourself down people’s throats, it’s important to show that you’re there in moderation and provide them with cool and relevant and informative content.

5.     Quality images matter.

Your social media channels are a great way to experiment with your creativity, so experiment with your posts, have fun with them, make them easy on the eyes, don’t use a lot of different colors in your images.

Bottom line is you should avoid clutter, keep your designs simple & sleek.

Tip: Make sure your Avatar, cover photo and post designs reflect your company image.

Code707 hope we helped with these short but sweet social media tips!
